SCPM Cares Charitable Foundation

SCPM Cares was established to support charitable organizations and causes, near and dear to our members.  Through various events each year, the foundation raises money to support several organizations including: the Clemson Urban Entomology Foundation, Leadership SCPCA, the Adkins-Ford Scholarship Fund, the Pat Zungoli Award and the South Carolina Urban Entomology Charitable Alliance and most recently, the Outdoor Dream Foundation.

SCPCA hosts several events and promotes initiatives throughout the year:

Annual Pub Crawl for Charity
The funds raised from this annual event, held each year at the Pest Pro Summit, benefits the Clemson Urban Entomology Charitable Foundation which is the fund that supports Dr. Benson’s incredible lab and research staff.

Annual Charity Auction
The funds raised from this event, held each year at the Pest Pro Summit, benefits the Adkins-Ford Scholarship Fund and the Pat Zungoli Award. These scholarships are awarded each year to family members of our industry professionals.

Annual Clay Shoot for Children’s Cancer

For many years, The Pee Dee, Midlands and the SCPCA joined together for an annual Clay Shoot for Children’s Cancer. This event raised funds to support Camp Kemo, which provides a week long camp experience for children with cancer. 100% of the monies raised is given to this amazing camp. Over past 13 years, this event has raised more than $200,000 for the special children of Camp Kemo. The camp’s purpose is to allow children with cancer to participate in a summer camp experience while providing them the opportunity to develop relationships with others dealing with this devastating disease.
